Founder, echt.job
Who is behind it
Built in Tübingen – not in Silicon Valley.
It started in my own neighbourhood: older households looking for reliable help – and around 28,000 students in the same town who could do exactly that. What stands between them is mostly red tape. echt.job clears it away.
Before echt.job: a doctorate in business informatics on business models and cloud, then a management consultant in sales and business development at a telecommunications group. Now I’m building echt.job — as a founder, with everything I have, Tübingen first.
FAQ

A marketplace for household help on a mini-job basis: households post jobs, and pupils and students aged 18+ nearby apply. echt.job files the registration with the Minijob-Zentrale and handles the payment through escrow.
What does it cost?
Nothing for helpers. Households pay a service fee: 15% for the first 10 bookings, then 10%, VAT included in both cases. No commission on the pay.
Is this officially registered?
Yes. Every job runs through the household cheque procedure of the Minijob-Zentrale – echt.job files the registration on your behalf.
Where and when does echt.job start?
In autumn 2026 in Tübingen, followed by more university towns. Sign up below to be the first to know.
