FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this officially registered?
Yes. Every job is registered with the Minijob-Zentrale via the official household cheque procedure – echt.job files the registration on your behalf.
What does echt.job cost?
Nothing for helpers. Households pay a service fee on each booking – 15% for the first 10 bookings, then a permanent 10% as a regular customer, VAT included in both cases.
Who holds my money?
Our payment partner OPP (Online Payment Platform), a licensed payment service provider supervised by the Dutch central bank (DNB). When you accept, the amount is reserved there in escrow and only paid out to the helper after the job. echt.job never touches your money itself.
Who are the helpers?
Pupils and students aged 18+ from your city. They apply for your job. You can accept as soon as their ID and bank account have been checked.
What happens in case of illness or accident?
In the event of an accident at work, statutory accident insurance applies – registration runs via the household cheque procedure. If your helper has been working for you for more than four weeks, they are entitled to sick pay. For an accident at work, liability generally lies with the accident insurance, not with you – except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Can I have the same helper every week?
Yes. With a monthly plan you choose the dates for a month. One helper applies for the whole plan, and you accept once.
When does echt.job launch?
From autumn 2026 in Tübingen – more university cities will follow. Sign up below to be the first to know.
